Old school tinkerer, not sure I qualify as the old school non-nefarious hacker. Started trying Slackware distributions as far back as 1996 or 1997 (can’t remember - I mean it when I say ‘old’ as in ‘old school’ above). Did my M$ MCSE back in 1999 / 2000 (NT4) and a CCNA. Today, I am a principal engineer at a large wireless carrier that does Linux (mostly RedHat), network (Juniper), and general security administration / operations / architecture / planning stuff at work when I’m not stuck in business development hell.
