Booting from USB when eMMC already has an image on it

How to boot from USB if you have an eMMC with an image already on it.

  1. Power off the board
  2. Make sure your USB has the correct image you want to boot on it.
  3. Connect the USB to your board
  4. Power on the board
  5. Immediately after you power on press any key to stop the auto boot process (may need to press that key a few times).
  6. Type: “env set boot_targets usb” and press enter (Do not include the quotes).
  7. Type: “boot” and hit enter
  8. Now just wait a little while and it should boot to your USB image.
