Hi, I have Ubuntu server installed on my le potato and have octoprint running on it so I can remotely add print files and check in on my 3d printer. My question is what type of camera is compatible with this board? I heard raspberry pi cameras don’t work, would any usb camera work? Thanks in advance
We recommend UVC webcams. UVC stands for USB Video Class. They’re plug and play. They can spit out MJPEG stream which can be directly decoded by a browser so you can use utilities like mjpegstreamer or any of the normal UVC camera utilities to handle the stream whether locally or over the network. We do not recommend transcoding the stream because that would significantly increase CPU usage and reduce quality.
