Cooling options for a Sweet Potato AML-S905X-CC-V2

I want to use my Sweet Potato as an “always on” computer in a vehicle and I’m in California. Vehicle interiors do rise to +75°C in the sun; hotter than the stock heat sink (and likely a heat sink + fan combination) can work at. I am considering a peltier+heat sink+fan combination; does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, is there some sort of larger/custom heat sink that is known to work with this board?

Thanks in advance!

This device is not designed for automotive. At 75C ambient, there’s no thermal headroom and the board will clock to the lowest speed to prevent thermal runaway. You would need to cool the board to below 70C.

Any large piece of metal can be an effective heatsink. You need to be able to sink 4W with a temperature gradient of 5C gradient which can be difficult.
