Does the AML-S805X-AC require eMMC module?

BLUF - Cannot get board to install OS due to not recognizing any boot media.

Updated with latest SpiFlash. Formatted 3.9Gb partition on thumb drive with DD command on linux while following documentation found here: (AML-S805X-AC (La Frite) SD card images). Rest of the 8GB stick is unformatted. Used usb port on the furthest slot from the IR sensor and closest. Same result.

HDMI and Ethernet cable are the only other cables besides power and usb stick.

AML-S805X-AC boots off any block device on any bus. Use official website, downloads, guides, and resources, not random links on Google.

Following the guide posted in Start led to 2 working AML-S805-ACs.
