I got several ESP32’s that are located about 1/3 of a mile away from the house. I plan on putting a Renegade with the WiFi product that Libre ships out in the ‘yard’. How far way can I expect the WiFi dongle that Libre sells to work with e Renegade?
No omnidirectional WiFi will work at 1/3 mile. Every dongle has a radiation pattern. US is capped to 20dB SNR ratio so range is nearly the same along the maximum of radiation pattern. That’s for Lora type RF.
