Hardware Video Decoding on Le Potato running Ubuntu?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to use a Le Potato as a media player running MythTV Frontend under Ubuntu 22.04.1. The issue I am running into is that there seems to be no hardware acceleration for video decoding as 480p videos stutter a little and 1080p looks like a slide show.

Does the Ubuntu 22.04.1 software support hardware video decoding?
Has anyone gotten MythTV to work on this SBC?

Video acceleration is only supported through the gstreamer framework in our upstream Linux images.

CoreELEC is designed for media playback but does not use our upstream Linux bits.
