i got the same 4 inch waveshare display, and its rotated into vertical mode, i go into the ubuntu settings but if i change it to portrait right, the screen turns landscape but there is big screen tearing, and i cant move my mouse if i do it
90% of the time i have to reinstall ubuntu, i tried looking at youtube tutorials but they dont work. i got the latest ubuntu running on the aml-s905x (le potato). please help
If it is a SPI display, those things send data horizontally so you will get a ton of tearing in vertical mode. There’s nothing that can be done for it.
