Where can I find information about how to use the boot switch on the Sweet Potato?

I’m having trouble finding any information on this switch that appears to be labeled 4sw1boot, and I’m assuming it to be the “Boot Select Switch”. I was hoping to find more information about it.

Please refer to the schematics. The switch disables the onboard UEFI firmware so that you can run custom firmware from SD or eMMC.
