At my wit's end with non-booting Tritium H5

It simply will not recognize a bootable installation. I’ve tried every single available image from distro.libre.computer, with instructions followed to the letter.

-Yes I unpacked the image(s).
-Yes it has an adequate power supply (2.4A thru quality Anker cable)
-Yes I made sure the image was correct for the board.
-Yes I’ve tried different SD cards and SD readers.
-Yes I’ve tried several different flashing utilities

It used to work. Then, the other day I was trying out a few different retro gaming distros (which worked fine) and at one point I stopped getting a green LED or even a splash screen. Now maybe every tenth flash it’ll actually boot but even just cycling power without disturbing the SD card will bring me back to red LED hell.

I’ve exhausted my Linux knowledge trying to figure this out and the only thing I can think now is that there’s somehow some actual hardware damage. Does anybody have any ideas?
