No LEDs No Booting

Le Potato AML-S905X-CC
Sandisk 64gb microsd
Fedora 41 Server ARM aarch64
Win32 Disk flash and passed verification
ABS Case with Heatsink & Fan for Libre Computer Board AMl-S905X-CC/ALL-H3-CC/ROC-RK3328-CC
USB Type C 5V 3A 15W UL Listed Power Supply with Power Switch Indicator and MicroUSB Adapter for Raspberry Pi 3/4 Libre Computer Board

I have tried with out the case and fan installed as well. I have tested the voltage of the charger with Accubattery on my phone and its at 4.237V.

I get no LEDs and no booting when I turn on the power. The fan does run and the lights on the ethernet port light up. I don’t have an ethernet cable hooked up. I have tried without the HDMI plugged and and with it plugged in.

Any advice? I haven’t seen any posts where they have NO LEDs illuminated.

Thanks

@librecomputer any help?

4.23V is probably too low. Have you tried with a proper power supply?

These boards are very sensitive to voltage - they can easily be damaged if voltage is too high, and they will not function properly if voltage is too low.

What power supply do you recommend? The one I’m using is specifically marketed for the le potato.

See this post:

this is literally the power supply im using

If you’re only getting 4.2v out of it, there is something wrong.

No matter what make, model, or brand of product you buy, there is always the possibility that you get a defective unit.

It’s a rough estimate from an app on the phone. Still should be plenty of power to turn on the red light. I think the issue is with the le potato.

The red LED should light up as soon as you provide power on AML-S905X-CC. If the LED does not light up, your board is damaged. If you purchased from Amazon, someone could have damaged the board and returned it. Amazon never does enough due diligence.
