Sweet Potato - Ubuntu doesn't start

Hi there, I have just received my AML-S905x-cc-v2 (sweet potatoe).
I think I have correctly followed the installation steps by downloading Ubuntu desktop, flashing the OS on a micro SD card (256Go scandisk).
Once I start the OS seems to launch, I can see the Ubuntu background and the cursor is spinning… but after may be 10s, it reboots. It did that 3 or 4 times already so I am assuming there might be something wrong happening?

I have tried the other OS: Debian and Raspbian. None of them are stable and once the installed is finished I am seeing the OS background and it reboot instantly. Any of you having similar issues?

I am using 2 USB ports for keyboard and mouse. The top one close to the ethernet port seems ok, the others seem to be causing the problem?

I guess the year-old promises to fix this haven’t yet been released. I have a workaround that has worked for me. I’m not sure why having the keyboard and mouse get “unplugged” by the hub reset would cause more than a brief disruption, but maybe the reset is more disruptive in some way.

Anyhow, blacklist the unnecessary driver, it doesn’t reset the hub in mid-boot, and IME it’s good. Another workaround would be to use only the top left (“OTC”) port which is direct from the CPU without the onboard hub in the way with an external hub. That also just works, at least for a couple low power peripherals.
